“The Eastern Michigan Picards are all descended from Alfred and Zepherine Picard. Alfred immigrated to Eastern Michigan from Montreal, and settled in Saginaw in 1864. Zepherine moved to Saginaw after their marriage in 1876. It was a second marriage for both of them. The Frank A. Picard family is followed in two separate albums one focusing on his career in politics and the law and the other focusing on his family. This album includes coverage of Alex Picard, Alfred’s son and Vincent Picard, Alex’s older son. Also included are Joseph Picard and Alfred’s four daughters, Minnie, Louise, Miriam and Victoria as well as their half-brother, Joseph Lashapelle. Fred and Phil Picard, older brothers to Alex and Frank are primarily covered in the show business and circus album, “A Few Stickers on a Few Sticks” which also includes the performance and show business years of Alex, Vincent and Joe Picard.”
